Hey guys, welcome back to another holiday blog post of “Making Spirits Bright,” where I show you some savvy hosting tips, tricks, and delicious recipes for you to sleigh your holiday.

Now, ultimately, I think the holiday season is about creating & maintaining wonderful moments of nostalgia...And, a lot of the beautiful memories are made possible because the holidays have a special way of permeating thru all of our 5 senses, especially, the sense of sounds, sight, taste, and we can't forget smell because nothing enhances the scene quite like the scent of the holidays!

And I got JUST the recipe to bring that special scent into your home that doesn't involve a trip to that very popular franchise (Steph gestures shhhh) Now don't get me wrong, I love me a cozy scented candle...BUT Instead of stocking up on dozens from the store, try this natural alternative-Holiday season simmer pot. It’s a simple, natural, and an organic way to fill your home with a festive fragrance—without all the extra toxic fumes.

All you needs are a few seasonal staples ingredients: fresh orange slices, cranberries, cinnamon sticks, star anise, cloves, and a few sprigs of rosemary. Place everything in a pot of water or slow-cooker & bring it to a gentle simmer. And all that's left to do is to take in & indulge in the hypnotizing aroma of the season. Til next time keep jingling those bells y’all! Toodles!

PS: OH, and if you're trying to actually enjoy the season- ya know more 'fa la la!' & less AHHH!…Then grab my Get eLF'd Up Christmas Planner. It's made for those who want to make the most of the season WITHOUT the mayhem. Planning pages, gift trackers, menu helpers, even my party checklist—yep, it’s all in there!
