Now, as someone who thoroughly enjoys putting together a fun, elevated soirée, Thanksgiving is no different, however, I do feel as though it can be a rather, overwhelmingly, intimidating undertaking. Especially, if you're a newbie. So I think that hosting a cocktail-inspired, Friendsgiving is a clever & thrifty way to gain some experience, without overly-committing to the whole kitten kaboodle.
So, I’m sharing with you my helpful hosting-hacks that will give you the confidence to say YEAH..I totally got this!!!! Read-on for my fun & easy approach to Friendsgiving that will bring the food, the drinks, & most importantly the VIBES!!! It’s what I call a “Fanciful Finger-Food-inspired Friendsgiving." Or more simply put...a "Fancy Friendsgiving on a Frugal Budget." Watch the video here!

First things first, you're going to want to have your main staples, which in this case, I'm showing you how I approach the turkey, the cranberry sauce, the pumpkin pie, & the apple cider. Especially, if you're a busy bee like myself, and want to cut your cooking time in half.

So for the turkey & sauce I made petite turkey meatballs with a cranberry dipping sauce and simply elevated the vibes with the plating & attention to detail. Guys...here's my number one pro-tip with hosting annnyyy event...ITS.ALL.IN.THE.DETAILS!

With the pumpkin pie, I purchased a few store-bought pies & simply cut out miniature circles with this tool & topped them off with whipped cream, so that they may be served as hors d'oeuvres (As shown in image above).

And for my cocktail, I partnered with Risata to create a fun, fall-themed cocktail. I simply mixed apple cider with one of my favorite bottles of prosecco to make a delicious Apple Cider Spritz! (Click here for recipe). Then I took things up a notch by filling up these cute shot glasses with my Apple Cider Spritz and topping them each off with an apple cider donut hole. They came out so freakin' cute!!! (See image below).

"Apple Cider Spritz" Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
-1 Quart Apple Cider, Chilled Orange Juice
-1 Bottle of Your Favorite Prosecco
-Ice (optional)
-Thinly Sliced Apples, Star Anise, & Cinnamon Sticks, For Garnish is Optional
Directions
-Step 1 - Fill your glass pitcher 1/2 up with some chilled apple cider and the other 1/2 with chilled prosecco or club soda if you're creating a mocktail version.
-Step 2 - Serve Immediately & enjoy!
Lastly, if you want to create some fun Friendsgiving signage as a counter or table runner like I did, then you can purchase a kraft paper roll like this one and draw some fun Friendsgiving art with a sharpie. Just make sure to double up on the paper because my sharpie definitely bled through my kraft paper onto my marble countertop (:-/ yikes!!!).

See guys, my simple hosting hacks will have you low-key looking like a pro! Not only that, these bite-sized portions are perfect for those that are trying (emphasis on keyword TRYING) to watch their waistlines...Like MYSELF haha!! Especially, when you need enough room in your tummy & leggings for the big Thanksgiving day feast! Just think of this finger-food-inspired Friendsgiving as the pre-game to the big shebang!
