Embrace The Timeless Charm of New Orleans Through It's Classic Sazerac Cocktail

New Orleans is known for its delicious food, amongst other things like soulful music & vibrant culture. BUT did you know that New Orleans is also known for it's cocktails?! While debatlable...Believe it or not, the Sazerac cocktail has been considered the world's 1st cocktail and coined THEE official cocktail of New Orleans. I learned this in addition to many other pieces of New Orleans history on a 3-hour food walking tour that I had booked on my trip. 


Now, while I didn't get the chance to try this on my trip...I did decide to try it once I got back home. Read on for the recipe below, and try it for yourself or your guests for you rnext Mardi Gras themed party! Watch me make it here!



"Classic Sazerac"


Ingredients

-1 1/2 oz Vodka

-1/6 oz Lime juice

-4 oz Ginger beer


Garnish

-Rosemary Stem

-Few Cranberries











Directions

  • Step 1 - Grab a tumbler cup & Pour the vodka

  • Step 2 - Add the lemon juice

  • Step 3 - Add the ginger beer

  • Step 4 - Add rosemary & cranberry garnish

  • Step 5 - Serve & enjoy!
