How we brought an elegant fairytale theme celebration to life for Princess Fara's first birthday.

Once Upon a Time...
Every little girl deserves to feel like royalty on her first birthday.
When Fara's mom contacted Mariage Blanc Designs, she envisioned a celebration inspired by timeless Disney princesses, elegant details, and just the right amount of magic. Our goal wasn't to create an overly themed children's party, but rather an enchanting celebration that felt sophisticated enough for the adults while still making every little princess feel as though she had stepped into her favorite fairytale.
From custom stationery and handcrafted décor to luxurious floral arrangements and glowing candlelight, every detail was thoughtfully curated to create a celebration worthy of the guest of honor.
Welcome to Princess Fara's royal celebration.

Designing the Experience
Whenever I begin designing an event, I ask myself one simple question:
How do I want guests to feel the moment they walk into the room?
For Fara's celebration, I wanted them to feel as though they had stepped into an elegant royal ballroom where fairy tales truly come to life.
Soft blush tones, ivory florals, shimmering gold accents, candlelight, crystal details, and luxurious textures worked together to create a celebration that felt timeless rather than trendy.
One of my favorite design principles is proving that children's parties can be both whimsical and beautifully refined.
💡 Stephanie's Designer Tip: A themed party doesn't have to rely on licensed decorations to feel magical. A sophisticated color palette paired with thoughtful details often creates a far more luxurious experience.

It's in the Details
Luxury lives in the details.
One of my favorite moments was watching the ballroom come together. Elegant banquet tables were dressed with towering floral centerpieces, shimmering gold accents, and floating candles nestled inside crystal cylinders filled with softly tinted blush water. As the candlelight reflected throughout the room, it created a warm, romantic glow that perfectly complemented the royal atmosphere.
No place setting was complete without a touch of elegance. My assistant beautifully styled each blush pink satin napkin into a delicate bow before finishing it with a pearl-beaded napkin ring, creating a sophisticated detail that perfectly complemented the princess-inspired tablescape. It's often these subtle finishing touches that quietly elevate an event from beautiful to unforgettable.
To complete the space, we also designed and built a custom floral backdrop that became one of the celebration's focal points and the perfect setting for photographs throughout the day.
Of course, no princess celebration would be complete without a beautiful dessert display inspired by classic fairytale elegance.
Stationery Makes a Difference
One of my favorite parts of every event is designing custom stationery that becomes part of the décor itself.
Having studied Graphic Design, I love creating paper goods that feel just as intentional as the flowers, linens, and centerpieces. For Princess Fara's celebration, I designed handcrafted royal menu scrolls for every place setting.
Each scroll was created using lightweight paper, wooden dowels, wooden beads that I painted gold, and miniature crown embellishments to complete the royal look. After carefully measuring and printing each menu with an old-world styled font in pink colored ink, the paper was rolled around the dowels and assembled by hand, transforming a simple menu into another decorative element within the tablescape.
Beautiful stationery doesn't simply communicate information. It becomes part of the experience.
If you're planning your own celebration, I also offer custom stationery design and digital invitations through my digital shop to make your life & the party planning process a little easier for you.

Don't Forget the Kids
As beautiful as the décor may be, children's parties should always include activities that keep little guests entertained.
After all...The party is for them!
For Princess Fara's celebration, we brought the magic to life with a live Disney Princess character who delighted the children with interactive games, storytelling, and plenty of royal photo opportunities. To keep the excitement going, we also included face painting, allowing each little guest to transform into their favorite princess, butterfly, superhero, or whimsical character.
While the adults enjoyed the celebration, the children were busy laughing, playing, and creating memories of their own, which is exactly what a successful children's party should be all about.

Stephanie's Little Details
👑 Favorite Detail: Without question, the handcrafted royal menu scrolls. I love finding ways to transform everyday items into part of the décor, and these scrolls became one of my favorite personalized touches of the entire celebration. They were elegant, unexpected, and perfectly complemented the royal theme.
🌸 Favorite DIY: The custom flower backdrop. Designed and built in house, it instantly transformed the ballroom into a fairytale setting while providing the perfect backdrop for family photos throughout the celebration.
🕯️ Favorite Design Moment: Seeing the ballroom fully set with towering floral centerpieces, floating candles resting in softly tinted blush water, and blush satin napkins beautifully styled into bows with pearl beaded napkin rings. It was one of those moments where every detail came together exactly as I had envisioned.
💖 Client's Vision: An elegant princess celebration that felt timeless, sophisticated, and magical without relying on overly themed decorations.
✨ Designer Tip: Don't underestimate the power of linens and napkin styling. Something as simple as a beautifully folded satin napkin finished with a pearl napkin ring can completely elevate a tablescape and make guests feel like they're part of something truly special.
