Make This Lean Green Grinch Protein Smoothie To Help Unbig Your Back This Holiday Season...

Hey guys!! Soooo we've hit that time of the season again where emotions are running at an all time high and everybody's ready to cuss each other out over a parking spot, traffic, long lines, customer service YOU name it!


Not to mention, it's also part of the season where a lot of us have stuffed our faces enough with all the holiday potlucks, dinner parties, & sweet treats that everyone's bringing into work on a daily basis. Come on let's be honest...Soon we're about to be singing Big Back instead of these dang onnn Christmas carols. And so I figured, that I'd showcase these 2 parallels with a drink. YES, I'm taking this Ebenezer Scrooge energy along with the intense need to cut back on sweets and channeling it into a healthy delicious concoction. Stay tuned while I show you how to make what I call a “Lean Green Grinch Protein Smoothie”. Cause, YES, he'd be the one to definitely put a pause to my series of sweet treats!! Haha!! Lego!!


I'm proud to say that I've been able to stick with my healthy habits that I've implemented into my lifestyle for over a year now. And though, I'll admit that there were definitely moments where I wasn't always on my A game like I wanted to have been...I give myself grace because life's curveballs are to be expected; And, I am just proud that I stuck through it. I've definitely pushed myself out of my comfort zone & sought to do things that I've always wanted to do, but never had the time or MADDEEE the time (I shud say ) But, for once I put MYSELF first...My health at the forefront and all other things took a backseat and I don't regret it. We're not necessarily always gonna HAVE the time, but it's definitely deeming what's most important and MAKING the time...My goals for the new year will be to continue staying consistent, but to amp it up a bit with healthier eating (I know I know; A girl can dream...Just work with me here chuckles); But def more visits to the gym. As my body has definitely felt better and less sluggish ever since making incremental healthy changes; And I've been able to prove to myself that if I can dream it...My mind and body can also achieve it. Not to sound like a sappy commercial or anything, but you get my drift haha!!(chuckles).


"Lean Green Grinch Protein Smoothie"


Ingredients

-2 fresh/frozen bananas

-1/2 avocado

-¾ cup almond milk

-1 scoop of your preferred Whey Vanilla Protein Powder

-1 small handful of fresh mint

-1 large handful fresh spinach

-1 tsp vanilla extract


Garnish

--Handful of granola is optional as to add a lil ne nais c'est quoi as garnish







Directions

  • Step 1 -  Combine all ingredients, frozen banana through vanilla extract, in a high-powered blender. Blend until thick and creamy.

  • Step 2 - Serve and top with an optional sprig of fresh mint and sprinkle of cacao nibs.

  • Step 3 - Enjoy cold!
